School and Living Quarters

Front of 1st - 8th grade School

Here's the school's playground (1st - 8th grade) and you can see some of the soccer field as well

Classrooms for 1st-8th grade.  Student decorated work on the walls.

Lunch in the cafeteria

2011 Teacher Meeting Room/ Director's Office (located in 1st - 8th grade school)
This picture is taken standing in the front of the school.   Right across the street is the teacher's hotel (see picture below for close up of the hotel).   Across the street and right behind that big tree on the right is the Kindergarten Building.

This is the hotel where teachers will be living for the month.  On the bottom floor is a little supermarket (where you can buy water/coke/snacks/toiletries), small pharmacy, 30minute massage for about $2, local Sunday gathering, recreation center, etc.)

Out and About

KFC which is fairly close by (via bus).  There's also a Subway a short bus ride away)
Bus stop (most have both English and Chinese)

Local stores where we can shop

Kindergarten Building

Here are some pictures of the Kindergarten Building (everyone else will be in the school building across the street).

Mi Fan Anyone?

Hello Team!

Welcome to our trip's blog.

The whole point of this blog will be to get you information as we have it, without bombarding your inbox with tons of emails.   We will still email you when we need to get information from you, but most info we'll try to put up here.

Please, please, please check this blog frequently.  (At least once a week, but everyday would be preferable).  When we get closer to our departure date, we'll probably be posting more and more.   (Or notice over on the right, you can add your email address to be notified when we post something)

What does "Mi Fan" mean, you ask?    Rice (in Chinese)!  No matter where you eat, if you don't like the food, you can at least ask for a bowl of rice  :)   (sounds like "me - fawn")

We look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you.  He has some amazing plans for us this summer, so be prayed up and ask Him to prepare your heart/mind for what you're supposed to do, and the heart/mind of those you meet!
